Attendance: Keith Forman, Michael Armstrong, Carole Miller, Ginger Blunk. DeEtte Staebell, Doug Pfeiffer

The elder's had fellowship and the meal at 5:30 p.m.

The Business meeting opened with the lighting of the Christ Candle and the reading of Ephesians 4:11-12. Everyone shared how the scripture spoke to them. A prayer was offered and the meeting began.

Worship: The names submitted by the congregation for consideration as Worship Elder were discussed. Prayerfully three candidates were chosen. Doug and DeEtte Staebell will approach the first candidate as soon as possible to consider accepting the position of Worship Elder.

Ministry/Equipping: The names submitted by the congregation for consideration as Ministry/Equipping Elder were discussed. After thoughtful prayer, two individuals were chosen from the ballots that were received. Doug and Keith Forman will contact the first candidate as soon as they are able to consider accepting the position of Ministry/Equipping Elder.

The names of the new Worship Elder and the new Ministry/Equipping Elder will be announced to the congregation upon acceptance of each position by one of the candidates.

There was a discussion of combining the the two worship services held on Sunday. It was decided that this idea would be tabled for the time being.

Michael Armstrong presented the 2010 Budget. After careful consideration and discussion the 2010 Budget was approved by the Elders.

The estimated 2010 income as approved is: $254,300.00

The estimated 2010 expenses as approved are: $252, 200.00

The 2010 Budget as approved will be presented to the congregation by Michael Armstrong, in its entirety, on a Sunday in January.

The hiring of a Director of Children and Youth Discipleship was discussed. An anonymous donor has been in contact with Ginger Blunk and has offered to give $10,000.00 to hire a Director of Children and Youth Discipleship and get this program jump started. It has been two years since any information on this position (i.e. job description, hours per week, hourly wage etc.) has been looked at. Ginger is going to revisit new statistics and will report back to the Elders. (This position was included in the 2010 budget considering the donation that has been offered specifically for this program.)

The next meeting will be held on January 12, 2010.
